Lindop Technology

Elementary/Middle School Technology.

Lindop School currently has 4 computer labs running the newest and greatest software!

We have a new Apple/STEM Lab that runs both Windows 7 and Mac OS Snow Leopard.

We have 2 desktop labs that runs Windows 7 operating system.

We have a laptop lab that run Windows 7 operating system.

Advanced Technology Curriculum

Lindop Teaches the highest level of technology offering our students creative ways to use technology.

In 4th Grade: The students create a animated silent movie that tells a story. Some students will also create music in Garage Band.

In 5th Grade: We work in the Mac Lab for a short time to create pod casts using iMovie.

In 6th Grade: In March we introduce the students to 3D architecture in Math where the students will build a 3D house. In 6th grade the students in Language Arts section create a movie trailer for their advertisement/marketing section.

In 7th Grade: The students will take STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics). In STEM they design a product in 3D.

In 8th Grade: The students take advanced animation and advanced 3D architecture in Math. 8th Grade students also take Robitics.

  • Every classroom in grades PREK through Eighth have 4 computers running Windows 7.
  • Every classroom has a Promethean Board.
  • Every teacher has a tablet or laptop.
  • We have subscriptions to the following websites: Lexia, Study Island, Kids College, IXL Math, Destiny Library, Accelerated Reader, Map Testing and PowerSchool.

The Lindop Technology Committee is a public committee that involves Administration, Teachers, Parents, Lindop Board Members, and Community Members to come and recommend new technology.  Look on the calendar on the front of our website for the next scheduled meeting or call 708-320-1974 for more information.
